Everything You Can Do With an EriPay Wallet: A Complete Feature Tour

EriPay packs a whole financial toolkit into one wallet. Many customers join to send money and only later discover savings groups, bill payments or virtual cards. This tour walks through every feature available today, what it is for, and where to find it, so you can get full value from your account.

Move money

Send money

Send to anyone on EriPay using their phone number, email address or Wallet ID. You see their registered name before you confirm. Transfers are free up to UGX 20,000; above that the fee is 0.5%, capped at UGX 1,000. Find it under Send on your dashboard.

Request money

Ask someone to pay you a set amount with a note. They approve it with their PIN and you're notified instantly. Useful for shared costs, contributions and customers. Find it under Request.

Deposit

Fund your wallet from MTN Mobile Money or Airtel Money, by bank transfer, or with cash at an EriPay agent. EriPay adds no deposit charge of its own; any network charge is shown before you approve.

Withdraw

Move money to mobile money or your bank account, or collect cash at an agent with a QR code. The fee and the amount you will receive are shown before you confirm.

Pay for life

Bill payments

Pay Yaka, NWSC, URA (PRN), DStv, GOtv, StarTimes and school fees through SchoolPay. Enter the account or meter number, check the fee, confirm with your PIN, and you're notified when it's paid.

Pay merchants

Scan an EriPay merchant's QR code or search for the business under Make Payment. The merchant's name appears before you pay.

Virtual cards

Create a card for online purchases, subscriptions, courses and ads. Fund it from your wallet, freeze it when not in use, and withdraw unused money back. Virtual cards come with the Pro plan.

Save and grow

Savings Goals

Give each goal a name, a target and an optional date. Turn on weekly or monthly auto-save, set reminders, and lock the goal until a date if you want to be sure you won't dip into it.

Savings Groups

Run a VSLA, chama, merry-go-round or family circle digitally. The group admin invites members by phone, email or Wallet ID; members contribute from their wallets; and payouts need a share of members to approve them, set when the group is created. Everyone sees the balance and who has paid.

Go global

Multi-currency wallets

Hold Ugandan shillings, US dollars and other supported currencies side by side. Each wallet has its own Wallet ID.

Currency exchange

Swap between your wallets at the day's rate. The rate, the fee and the amount you will receive are shown before you confirm.

P2P marketplace

Trade with other users at prices you agree. The seller's funds are held in escrow until both sides confirm, so neither has to trust a stranger blindly. Included in the Pro plan.

Give and share

• Gift cards: choose a design and amount, add a message, and send by email for birthdays, graduations and holidays.
• Vouchers: create a voucher from your balance and give someone the code to redeem.
• Referrals: share your link and earn 1% of a friend's first deposit, up to UGX 2,000.

For businesses

• QR codes to get paid at the counter.
• Payment links with fixed or open amounts, expiry dates and usage limits, for selling on WhatsApp and social media.
• Hosted checkout and API with signed webhooks, a sandbox, refunds and recurring billing, plus a WooCommerce guide.
