Verify Your Identity (KYC): Why It Matters and How to Do It

KYC stands for "Know Your Customer". It means confirming that you are who you say you are. Every responsible financial service does it, and it protects you as much as it protects us.

Why verification matters

  • It stops impersonation. Criminals cannot easily open accounts in your name.
  • It fights fraud and money laundering, keeping the platform safe for honest users.
  • It unlocks higher limits and more features.
  • It builds trust when you pay people or businesses.

What you need

A valid government ID, such as your Ugandan National ID or a passport. You may also be asked for a clear selfie.

How to verify

  1. Go to Settings → ID Verification.
  2. Choose your document type.
  3. Upload clear photos of the front (and back if asked).
  4. Submit and wait for a notification.

Get approved first time

  • Take photos in good light, with all four corners visible.
  • Avoid glare, blur and fingers covering the text.
  • Make sure the name on your ID matches the name on your account.
  • Use a document that has not expired.

How we protect your data

Your documents are used only for verification and compliance, stored securely, and handled according to our Privacy Policy and AML & KYC Policy.
